2019 Club Changeover Dinner
The annual changeover dinner was held at Mingara on Tuesday June 25th 2019 and was attended by club members and their partners together with 20 guests and visitors including representatives of the TLSC Tumbi Interact Club – Zac and Sean, Yarran – Glenn Marie Wright & their President, PCYC – Karen Ross plus 1, Mingara Recretation Club – Bob and Karyn Graham, Ronald McDonald Room – Jenny Abourizk.
Also Rotarians from other clubs Jayne & Peter Mote (new Rotary Club of Brisbane Water ), Torben Neilson (incoming President of Rotary Club Wyong) and Barry Freeman ( Rotary Club of Woy Woy), Jim and Chris Gorman and Clive’s eldest son Greg. A total of some 35 attendees. Apologies included David Kett, a representative of Aspect.
Outgoing President Robin Hearder introduced – Interact co-ordinator Stacey Carpenter-Salmon and she in turn introduced Zac and Sean ( from Tumbi campus) who spoke about their experiences at MUNA ( model united nations ) where he was part of the Russian delegation who placed 2nd against many older teams. Sean then spoke about his experience participating in the recent Science and Engineering Challenge.

Robin Hearder Presented the Annual report for 2018/19
Robin then inducted Clive Denmark as President for 2019/20 and Clive presented his new Board with their badges of Office and gave an overview of his thoughts on 2019/20
The night concluded with the drawing of 6 raffle prizes,( raised $165) & the National anthem.

2017 – 2018 annual Pride of Workmanship Awards
The annual Pride of Workmanship Awards evening was held on 10 April 2018. Peter Ward, District Governor read and presented the citations and presented awards to Kurt Webb – Bateau Bay PCYC, Susan Wise – CC Insurance, Ryan Taylor-Murphy – Mingara, Stacey Carpenter-Salmon – TLSC – Tumbi Umbi, Natalie Page – CC Insurance and Kami Dibden – McDonald Family Room.
Torben Nielsen, Rotary Community Service Director, was the MC on the evening.

The annual Pride of Workmanship Awards evening was held on 19 May 2015. Karen McNamara, MP, Member for Dobell read the citations and presented awards to Cathy Ross, Manager of Bateau Bay PCYC, and Chris Noonan, Bus Driver, Red Bus Services. Other awardees unable to attend the presentation were Lynette Holbrook, Customer Service Manager, NRMA Tuggerah, and the NRMA Tuggerah Customer Service Team.
Torben Nielsen, Rotary Community Service Director, thanked Karen McNamara and presented her with a certificate of appreciation that includes a donation to The Rotary Health Foundation in her name.

The Rotary Clubs of The Entrance and Wyong/Tuggerah held a combined Community Service Awards presentation at Mingara Recreation Club on 6 October in recognition of volunteers who are willing to give their time and talents for the benefit of their local communities. The presentations were made by Member for Dobell, Karen McNamara, MP, who congratulated each nominee and spoke of the importance and value of their contributions. Each awardee received an inscribed plaque and citation certificate.
Club change over 2014
The club held its annual changeover dinner on 24 June when Acting President, John McIlwaine, presented the chain of office to incoming President, Peter Ward. Guests enjoyed the music of Tim Ward and his band, PHF Stan Crellin received the Yarran Social Justice Award, and PP Lionel Maddams, the Charles Zammit Award for Community Service.
District 9685 Governor visit 2013
President Rob Unwin, Rotary Club of The Entrance, welcomed District 9685 Governor, Graeme Davies, on his official club visit. DG Graeme addressed members and guests on exciting new Rotary projects and the expansion of the district to include Rotary Clubs in the Lower Blue Mountains.
Pride of Workmanship Awards
Rotary’s Pride of Workmanship Awards honour those whose employers consider to show a distinct quality of approach, attitude, commitment, responsibility and dedication towards their work.
The program’s theme is: “Do it once, do it well. Build a better Australia.”
Recipients of awards and guests were informed about Rotary’s Shelterbox Program by “Mr Shelterbox”, Rotarian Peter Pearce, who demonstrated how one shelterbox containing a tent and household provisions could house a family of ten in time of disaster.

The conference was held at the new Entertainment Centre, Nowra, and the Conference Dinner at HMAS Albatross Fleet Air Arm Museum. The theme was “A Night in the Museum” and members dressed appropriately.
